Ákos Garai (1974, Hungary) started as a drummer at age of 13. After several years of playing with various bands his music orientation has turned into new directions.
In 2000, he was a co-organizer of the 'Szünetjel' International Experimental Music Festival on which he invited Asmus Tietchens and Achim Wollscheid to perform.
In 2001 started composing experimental music discovering fields of electro-acoustic, abstract, minimal sound art.
Since 2004 in his main focus are moving micro structures of recorded, edited, processed sound. Although he is not working at open air at all times, his compositions are strongly inspired by observations, experiences, adventures in Nature.
In 2009, he has established 3LEAVES, a record label devoted to present phonography, sound portrait, outdoor installation sound works created by internationally acquainted as well as less known artists.
